Cultivating Hopi philosophy, values, and methods through mentoring
Hopitutuqaiki is committed to developing an educational process based on Hopi cultural philosophy and methods. Historically, Hopi students were taught in schools using values, philosophy, and methods created for and derived from an outside culture. While this effort is not unique, very few schools working with Native American students incorporate the students' own culture, values, background, and strengths as the foundation for the school, the curriculum, and the educational process.
