How Your Donation Will Help.

Hopi students come from a Hopi environment and culture. They are also part of larger environments and cultures, culminating in world (or Universal) environment and culture. The task of students is to prepare to enter those environments ready and willing to contribute. The task of the school is to prepare students for that venture. In order to enter any environment and culture as contributing members, certain few skills are required. Beginning with what is familiar, The Hopi School will assure that students will gain the following skills during their time at The Hopi School.

1. Learning — Students will learn how to learn.

2. Self Concept — Students will gain self-confidence and a positive self-image and will develop skills at self-evaluation.

3. Natural Environment — Students will be aware of and be able to cooperate with their environment, both physical and social, wherever they are.

We believe that for our children to live a full, and productive life, they must become aware and proud of whom they are. They must develop necessary skills, talents, and attitude to contribute to betterment of the Hopi society. They must develop sensitivities to enjoy and appreciate things of the earth that make our lives complete. We believe that the educational process takes three elements: 1) the student, 2) the parents and community, and 3) the teachers, school and educational system. The Hopi School shall utilize all of these elements to assure a quality educational process for its students.
